Another time we had an early morning appointment to sing as the Madrigals at a breakfast held at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake. It was on a morning of a day off from school. We sang and then they paid us. We all went to breakfast ourselves (at McDonald's) with the money we earned.
Even though we had our informal activities after performances, we also had parties. We had these several times a year and they were at someone’s house for Madrigals or Jazz Choir, or they were at an LDS ward house gym as in the case of Concert Choir parities. At the parties we played big group games that I was leery of at first, but proved to be events of side-splitting hilarity in a few moments. One game in particular was called "Hah" Everyone laid on the floor and rested their head on another person's stomach. (This was not a good game for an un-chaperoned party, but fortunately nothing else happened.) We had a long chain of people like this. Everyone had a head on their stomach. Then you started saying "hah" really using the great singer's stomach muscles. The other person's head would bob up and down. This would cause you to giggle, and that just made the other person’s head bobble faster. It wasn't long before everyone was laughing hysterically. Another game we played was called "Pass the Body." Everyone took off their shoes and sat in a big circle with their legs straight and their stocking feet placed in the center. Then one person stood in the center wedged into all the feet. That person placed his hands crossed over his chest and fell forward. The people of the circle pushed him up with their hands and he fell over to some other people to push up.
