Johnny's affinity with numbers prompted him to put together a book. He got a fairly good sized binder and started to put lined, notebook paper in it. Then he hand numbered each page. He somehow coerced my parents to buy more notebook paper until he had the notebook pages numbered up to 1000. He was very pleased with his one thousand page book. But a short time later he was working to make it 2000 pages long. He needed a bigger binder so he made a binder with some heavy wire for rings. I showed him how to make pages by taking some old teletype paper rolls and cutting them to the 8 1/2 by 11 inch size. And then he used our three hole punch. I came home a few days later and he showed me his 2000 page book. He called it, "Old Two Thousand."
