The bus tour returned to the college at McComb and prepared for dinner. Even though it was still daylight, black clouds covered the sky and the street lights came on. While everyone was eating dinner in the cafeteria, we were told to go down to the tornado cellar while a tornado passed by. The leaders helped us youth pass the time during the several hours' confinement. Dad had many of the boys participate in a chin-up contest.
