The next day was spent in travel across Missouri, as well as a visit to where Mark Twain grew up. We arrived that night at a college in Kansas City. The next day we went to Far West, Missouri and visited the temple site there and saw the corner stones of the temple that was never built. There was a chapel of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and we were able to go through it. The man that took us through was the janitor and he showed us a slide presentation. Dad asked him, "What are some good places to visit in Independence, Missouri?" We are going there tomorrow." The man replied, "I can't think of any better place than your own visitor center." We also visited Adam-On-Dihaman. The area was so beautiful! No wonder, I thought to myself, this was were Adam came to live after he was driven out of the Garden of Eden.
